  • Building Update 7 May

The cladding to the Marymount side of the building is near completion, the ground floor windows are being installed and the plant room is being prepared for the new under floor heating system.

The roof windows are now in place and the Library roof is due to be put on this week.

  • Building Update 30 April

Whilst the rain is preventing the roof being completed, the windows and doors are being installed.
I ventured into the new building on Friday, in between the showers, wearing my hard hat, high viz waistcoat and steel cap wellies!
The sunny day today (Monday) will certainly help and hopefully the builders will be able to lift the very heavy roof lights into place to enable the roof to be completed.

  • Building Update 23 April

We are pleased to report that the building project is making progress as you can see. However, we are concerned that the progress is not as fast as expected and we have sought assurance from the building contractor that they will complete the project in the forthcoming summer holidays as agreed.

We have recently sought an assurance and will keep you informed about the situation.

  • Building Update 5 April

    The roof is going on.

  • Building Update 20 March

Block work will commence to the first floor level and specialist liquid Damp Proof Course membranes are being installed this week in readiness for the external window frames, due to commence on the ground floor Monday 26th March.

The roof panels are due on site Tuesday 20th March.
